If you’re the engineer by trade and know how to work with CAD, you have the pretty good chance of pulling this off. Josh certainly did, and using his own laser-cut engine mounts and custom headers connected to the very short exhaust system. He also opted for the LS4 because of the weight and cooling benefits of its aluminum block over the steel one. Now, his DeLorean sends roughly 300 hp to the rear wheels, with all the torque and reliability that comes with the pushrod V8. That’s the DMC-12 you want. Not that this vehicle is ready. Its ‘beefed up’ but original Renault gearbox won’t last long, and the brakes will need an upgrade and with this much power.
