Maybe in response to Clarkson’s Vulcan review in the second rather boring episode of The Grand Tour, or maybe just to make our Thursday better, well, the BBC has uploaded Chris Harris’ drive in Aston’s most furious car ever.
Mr. Harris says naming the vehicle Vulcan, after Great Britain’s most badass Cold War bomber is the bit like naming your child Ace. Alrighty then.
What can we tell you about a Vulcan, really? Just look at it! It has 820 horses from the V12 engine made out of Ford’s leftover V6s. It gets to 60 mph in under three seconds and keeps climbing past 200 mph despite having the wing the size of Tokyo living room. Due to the fact that it has the naturally-aspirated engine and no weight, it’s razor-sharp and lively, it spits lots of flames. Very physical is one way of putting it.
Aston’s track special is like the very fast Le Mans car that doesn’t have to obey Le Mans rules. It’s designed to make everything else feel boring and slow. The Vulcan delivers every time and punching you in the face just to make sure you keep focusing. And you better.
