Red Bull is known for its insane witchcrafts changing the look and the feel of any car they touch. As the company is investing heavily in motorsport, it is no surprise they have crafted an all new drift racer based on the Holden Commodore V8 Supercar. Impressive changes ensued to build a drift car of an Australian V8 Supercar.
Some of the most important changes include the addition of bigger flairs, a new suspension for increased steering angle, drift tires and even the aero.
The idea is to make the car able to drift in any conditions. After all, drifting competitions are all about going sideways and making skids at all time. The V8 Supercar is originally built for other purposes – to grip the road as hard as possible. So, Red Bull team had to do many hard changes.
Inside saw the integration of the handbrake lever and gearshift lever closer to the wheel. All the changes largely influenced the stance, the character and the pose of the car. Commodore V8 Supercar was transformed into a drift monster which could even reach the heights of the Formula Drift championship.
Just watch what it can do on the track and how fast can it be.
That was really over the top. What do you think of this next video?
