In this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, Charles Morgan – the chief executive officer of Morgan Motor Company – drops by to show James Douglas Muir “Jay” Leno the Morgan Aero Super Sport.

Jay is a huge fan of Morgan and the company is now Britain’s last independent English-owned automaker. It was founded in 1909 by Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan.

If you’ve been following Jay’s show, you know the guy is a Morgan enthusiast himself and he owns a 1932 Morgan Three-Wheeler. This time around he takes a look at the latest Morgan which is an evolution of the Aero 8 and the limited-edition Aeromax. The Aero Super Sport borrowed cues from both cars, being open-topped like the Aero 8 and as gorgeous, exceptionally detailed and as steeply priced as the Aeromax.

It may be hand-crafted in a small facility in Malvern, England, but it is powered by BMW engine.. the Bavarian firm’s 4.8-liter V-8, which cranks out 362 hp and 361 lb-ft of torque. Morgan claims a curb weight of 2600 pounds, which means it has better power-to-weight ratio than its rivals.

Check out the video below as Jay chats with Charles Morgan about the car then takes it out for a spin.
