As the son of stuntman Evel Knievel, Robbie Knievel had it in his blood to become an adrenaline junky with a thirst for the wild side. Therefore, it is not surprise he ended becoming a professional daredevil just like his father.
Robbie has helped keep Evel’s name alive and well by performing over 250 incredible motorcycle jumps and breaking at least 20 world records. Robbie Knievel began racing motorcycles at age 7, and was touring with his father by age 12.
Much like his father, he has made a famous jump over the Grand Canyon, and his other stunts include jumping over a row of 15 trucks, hopping over 21 Hummers, and a televised 200 foot ramp to ramp jump in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve 2008.
Unlike his father, Robbie uses a specially designed Honda CR-500 for his jumps even though he has received a lot of criticism. However, it is obvious that Knievel has no issues with performing incredible stunts no matter what he rides.
